This Privacy Policy explains what information Interviewz LLC ("we," "us") collects, why we collect it, and how it's used. It applies to both Ghostwriters (who create an account) and Clients (who use a project via a private link, without an account). See our Terms of Service for who owns what — this document is about data handling, not ownership.
We treat two categories of information differently, and it's worth being upfront about the distinction:
Your content— the voice recordings, transcripts, question text, and project details a Ghostwriter or Client creates — belongs to the Client, as described in our Terms of Service. We store and process it to provide the Service; we don't use it for anything else without permission.
Usage and account data— information about how the Service is used (such as which features are active, session and login activity, device and browser information, and error logs) — is collected and used by us to operate, secure, and improve Interviewz. This is separate from your content, and collecting it doesn't change who owns your recordings or transcripts.
Staff access to content. Authorized Interviewz personnel may access recordings, transcripts, and account data — including Client content — where reasonably necessary to provide support, keep the Service secure, investigate fraud or abuse, review content that is reported to us or that we believe is unlawful or in violation of our Terms, and comply with legal obligations. Such access is limited to these purposes and is logged internally.
We rely on the following providers to operate the Service. Each processes a subset of the data described above on our behalf:
Public social media content.A Ghostwriter may connect public social media accounts to a Client's workspace — their Client's own accounts, and up to three other public accounts in the same field for comparison. We retrieve only publicly available posts and their public engagement counts, store them, and use them to identify which topics are performing. We do not log in to, post from, or access any private or restricted content in these accounts, and we do not contact their owners. If you are the owner of an account someone has connected and you want it removed, email support@interviewz.co. Ghostwriters are responsible for having a proper basis to monitor any account they connect.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share your content with third parties beyond what's needed to provide the Service (for example, sending a recording to OpenAI to generate its transcript).
We retain account and project data for as long as the account or project is active. A Client may request deletion of their own recordings and transcripts at any time via their project link. A Ghostwriter may request deletion of their account and associated project data by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Clients can exercise access, export, and deletion rights directly through their project link without needing to create an account. Ghostwriters can exercise these rights by contacting us. Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, and California have specific statutory rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the CCPA respectively; contact us to make a request under any of these frameworks.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice, such as by email or a notice on the Service.
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your data, can be sent to support@interviewz.co.
